FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Everything you might want to know about how this site works and what we do (and do not) provide.
Is Tax Lawyer Hub a tax or law firm?
No. We are an independent educational publication. We do not file returns, represent clients before the IRS, or provide personalized tax, legal, or financial advice.
Is everything free?
Yes — every guide, calculator, glossary entry, and FAQ on this site is free to read with no account required.
Who writes the articles?
Our editorial team has backgrounds in personal finance journalism. We cite IRS publications and other primary sources. See our About page for more on our editorial standards.
How often is the content updated?
Each article displays a "last updated" date. We review every evergreen guide at least once per US tax year and refresh figures whenever the IRS releases new amounts.
Do your calculators store my inputs?
No. Every calculator runs in your browser. Your numbers never leave your device.
Can I trust your articles for my actual tax filing?
Use them as a starting point. Always verify specific figures against IRS.gov and consult a licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax attorney for decisions about your own return.
I found an error. How do I report it?
Email editor@taxlawyer.site or use the contact form. We correct material errors within two business days.
Do you cover state and local taxes?
We cover federal US taxes in depth and explain how state/local (SALT) considerations interact with federal returns. For state-specific filing details, always check your state's department of revenue.
Can I republish your articles?
Not without written permission. See our Terms for details. Linking to our articles is welcome and appreciated.
Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?
We do not publish sponsored articles. We occasionally accept high-quality educational contributions from qualified writers — pitch us via the contact form.
